Akwasi Osei

Jan Matzeliger passed on this day in 1889. He was a famous inventor whose shoe lasting machine revolutionized shoe production.


 





On this day in 1854, the National Emigration Convention organized a meeting in Cleveland, Ohio. It was an organization that sought to seek freedom and a better life for Black people by moving out of the United States.
