The Georgia Infirmary
On this day in 1832, The Georgia Infirmary was the first black Hospital purposefully built to cater to Blacks.

The first Ku Klux Klan was organized by confederate soldiers on this day in 1865 in Pulaski, Tennessee. It was a secret organization designed to maintain white supremacy at all costs. Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forest became its first Grand Wizard two years later.
