Dr. George F. Grant
Dr. George F. Grant was dentist who loved golf. He went on to invent perhaps the best item in a golfer’s repertoire, the golf tee. This tee was made of a wooden peg and a cup to hold the ball in place.
The National Association of Black Journalists
On this day in 1975, The National Association of Black Journalists was organized. Among its goals is the promotion of diversity in American newsrooms and editorial offices.
